In accordance with New Mexico State Fire Marshal requirements within the Albuquerque and surrounding cities area, Brazas Fire, are proud to offer fire extinguisher testing, inspection and maintenance that is both comprehensive and affordable.
We’re fully certified, and with an exceptionally talented and qualified team of technicians, we service all types and brands of wheeled and portable fire extinguishers.
Our technicians have been dealing with some of our customers for years, becoming very familiar with the businesses they service, to the point where they probably know more about the location of all fire extinguishers at each facility better than the staff that are on-site. They have commanded an enviable rapport with our customers, which keeps customers not only satisfied, but happy to place all their fire extinguisher sales and services firmly in our hands.
They keep records of inspections and are proactive in notifying – commercial clients especially – when they are due for re-inspection.
We perform a thorough and comprehensive check of your extinguisher’s gauge, weight, and condition, and then replace the tag and safety seal during annual inspections.
We’re also competent in handling additional inspection requirements, such as dry chemical extinguishers, which are required to be torn down, replacing all internal parts and chemicals every six years. This is commonly called a “six-year teardown.)
Additionally, we also perform hydrostatic testing on tanks, which are required every 12 years for those extinguishers that are kept stationary, and every 5 years for those that are stored in a vehicle.
